Wangaratta Solar Farm

The Wangaratta solar farm is located in the north east of Victoria.

The 40 MW Wangaratta solar farm is currently in development and when completed in late 2024, it will deliver around 70 GWh of clean energy into the Glenrowan substation. The solar farm has been developed on land owned by CleanPeak with a significant focus on protection of the native vegetation and the involvement of local contractors.

Sustainability Efforts

CleanPeak owns a parcel of land adjacent to the solar farm on which we plan to develop a CleanTech Industrial Estate attracting data centres, battery charging and other energy intensive industries. In addition the project includes a 15MWh battery energy storage asset and in stage 2 we will seek a grid connection for a 65 MWh battery energy storage asset.

The solar farm is a landmark project for CleanPeak as it will deliver renewable energy for our own consumption at 4 microgrids where we service more than 5000 customers.
